Phylum Rhodophyta



Rhodophytaalso known as a red algae,
are multicellular. For many rhodophyta
the tissue is made of separate cells
connected by protoplasmic strands
that hold the cells together. 
Rhodophyta have reddish plastids.



Rhodophyta do not have flagella
 to aid in movement. The rhodophyta
has a female organ that produces an egg
and a male organ that produces a sperm. 
Rhodophyta photosynthesize.
